В статье излагаются представления автора о сущности многополярной экономики. В частности, уточняется понятие «полюс», как экономический центр силы. Предпосылки для становления многополярной экономики на современном этапе рассматриваются в историческом контексте. Выделяются периоды существования двуполярной хозяйственной системы (1917–1990), однополярной хозяйственной системы (1990–2010). Обосновываются предпосылки для перехода к многополярной хозяйственной системе, наличие которых отчетливо просматривается уже с середины 2010-х годов. В качестве главных предпосылок для перехода к многополярному миру рассматривается увеличение размеров «незападных» национальных экономик и их значительная доля в мировом ВВП. В статье обозначены проблемы и направления совершенствования глобальной институциональной архитектуры с учетом принципов многополярности. Автор выявляет недостатки современной мировой институциональной архитектуры и идентифицирует причины неудач популярных до недавнего времени проектов взаимодействия глобальный и национальных институтов. Существенное внимание в статье уделено расширению БРИКС, как важному шагу на пути построения мировой институциональной архитектуры, ориентированной на соблюдение принципов многополярности. В статье обозначаются факторы, характеризующие потенциал БРИКС как современного глобального института. Также выделяются определенные проблемные аспекты, то есть возможные препятствия на пути развития сотрудничества и углубления интеграции между странами БРИКС.
The article presents the author's ideas about the essence of a multipolar economy. In particular, the concept of «pole» as an economic center of power is being clarified. The prerequisites for the formation of a multipolar economy at the present stage are considered in a historical context. The periods of existence of the bipolar economic system (1917–1990) and the unipolar economic system (1990–2010) are distinguished. The prerequisites for the transition to a multipolar economic system are substantiated, the presence of which has been clearly visible since the mid — 2010s. The main prerequisites for the transition to a multipolar world are the increase in the size of «non-Western» national economies and their significant share in global GDP. The article outlines the problems and directions of improving the global institutional architecture, taking into account the principles of multipolarity. The author identifies the shortcomings of the modern global institutional architecture and identifies the reasons for the failures of popular projects of interaction between global and national institutions until recently. The article pays significant attention to the expansion of the BRICS as an important step towards building a global institutional architecture focused on compliance with the principles of multipolarity. The article identifies the factors characterizing the potential of the BRICS as a modern global institution. Certain problematic aspects are also highlighted, that is, possible obstacles to the development of cooperation and deepening integration between the BRICS countries.
