Часть произведенной военной техники может экспортироваться, что приносит доходы стране-производителю и повышает обороноспособность страны-потребителя. Военная продукция относится ко II подразделению общественного производства, так как она не участвует в дальнейшем производственном процессе. Прибыль ВПК образуется из добавленной стоимости, создаваемой его работниками, выполняющими государственные заказы. Международная торговля оружием позволяет повысить доход ВПК. ВПК играет важную роль в обеспечении обороноспособности и реализации внешнеполитических целей государства и его геополитическим статусом. Однако его развитие сопряжено с большими затратами, которые могли бы быть направлены на другие сферы экономики.
The study is devoted to the analysis of military production and consumption in the economy, emphasizing their relationship and influence on each other. The state, forming orders for military equipment and weapons, determines the volume of production, and can also sell products abroad, which affects military consumption. In each country, military production is provided by the military-industrial complex (MIC), which includes many enterprises that are in close organizational and financial relationship. The military-industrial complex is usually state-owned and financed from the budget, but private companies can also participate in the production process by supplying materials and semi-finished products. Some of the military equipment produced can be exported, which brings income to the manufacturing country and increases the defense capability of the consumer country. However, dependence on imported weapons can lead to financial difficulties and dependence on supplies. The growth of military consumption is associated with past world wars, the geopolitical situation, the arms race and economic opportunities, scientific and technological progress, which increase the cost of military products, as well as lobbying. Funds for military needs are spent on the creation and maintenance of combat vehicles and the maintenance of military personnel. Military products belong to the II division of social production, since they do not participate in the further production process. The profit of the military-industrial complex is formed from the added value created by its employees who fulfill government orders. International arms trade helps increase the income of the military-industrial complex. The military-industrial complex plays an important role in ensuring the defense capability and implementation of foreign policy goals of the state and its geopolitical status. However, its development is associated with large costs that could be directed to other areas of the economy.
