После достижения беспрецедентных максимумов в 2021 году мировые рынки слияний и поглощений в 2022 году пережили непростой период, поскольку участники сделок боролись с инфляцией, повышением процентных ставок и последствиями конфликта на Украине. В настоящее время одним из популярных секторов рынка слияний и поглощений стал фармацевтика, медицина и биотехнологии (PMB), после ТМТ, промышленности и химикатов и бизнес услуг, что обусловлено высокой инвестиционной привлекательностью, вызванной пандемией и COVID-19. В данной статье рассматривается проблема увеличения инвестиционной привлекательности сектора здравоохранения, поскольку участники пытаются извлечь году после пандемии. В 2022 году с участием частных инвестиций в общей сложности было заключено 914 сделок на сумму 128,4 миллиарда долларов США. Целью исследования стал анализ международного рынка слияний и поглощений в секторе PMB с учетом повышенных учетных ставок, инфляции и геополитической ситуацией, описание крупных сделок с участием частных инвестиционных компаний. В ходе анализа использовались общенаучные методы исследования. В результате исследования автор пришел к выводу, что на данный момент нет единого мнения по поводу определения и классификации способов объединений компаний. В статье автором было описано несколько подходов экспертов к пониманию определения сущности слияний и поглощений. С помощью открытой статистической информации рынка слияний и поглощений в секторе фармацевтики, медицины и биотехнологий были проанализированы и представлены дорогостоящие глобальные сделки 2022 года с привлечением частных инвестиций, а также описаны ожидания инвесторов по поводу рынка 2023 года.
After reaching unprecedented highs in 2021, the global M&A markets experienced a difficult period in 2022, as the participants in the transactions struggled with inflation, rising interest rates and the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine. Currently, pharmaceuticals, medicine and biotechnology (PMB) has become one of the most popular sectors of the mergers and acquisitions market, after TMT, industry and chemicals and business services, due to the high investment attractiveness caused by the pandemic and COVID-19. This article examines the problem of increasing the investment attractiveness of the health sector, as participants try to benefit from the year after the pandemic. In 2022, a total of 914 transactions worth 128.4 billion US dollars were concluded with the participation of private investments. The purpose of the study was to analyze the international market of mergers and acquisitions in the PMB sector, taking into account increased interest rates, inflation and the geopolitical situation, and to describe large transactions involving private investment companies. In the course of the analysis, general scientific research methods were used. As a result of the research, the author came to the conclusion that at the moment there is no consensus on the definition and classification of ways of combining companies. In the article, the author described several approaches of experts to understanding the definition of the essence of mergers and acquisitions. With the help of open statistical information on the market of mergers and acquisitions in the pharmaceutical, medicine and biotechnology sectors, expensive global transactions in 2022 involving private investment were analyzed and presented, as well as investor expectations about the 2023 market were described.
