Авторами настоящей статьи впервые в рамках отечественных академических исследований ставится вопрос оценки влияния регионального уровня финансовой грамотности на конкурентоспособность региона Российской Федерации. Полученные результаты настоящего исследования могут открыть исследователям ранее неизученные драйверы региональной конкурентоспособности и существенно улучшить модели оценки конкурентоспособности региона. Авторами представлены понятия региональной конкурентоспособности и уровня финансовой грамотности населения регионов, а также методики их оценки и проведено концептуальное обоснование влияния финансовой грамотности на региональную конкурентоспособность. Авторами выдвинуто предположение, что уровень финансовой грамотности населения региона, являясь результатом финансового образования и элементом человеческого капитала жителей региона, значимо, прямо и положительно влияет на уровень конкурентоспособность региона. В рамках проверки выдвинутого предположения была использована методология панельного регрессионного анализа (панельные модели со случайными эффектами) на данных 85 субъектов Российской Федерации за 2018–2022 гг. в размере 425 наблюдений. Источником данных является Национальное агентство финансовых исследований и Федеральная служба государственной статистики (Росстат). В результате построения панельной регрессионной модели не отвергается гипотеза о том, что уровень финансовой грамотности населения региона прямо и положительно воздействует на уровень конкурентоспособности региона. Было выявлено, что при росте значения индекса финансовой грамотности населения на 1 ед., индекс конкурентоспособности растёт на 0,05 ед. В результате авторам настоящего исследования удалось обосновать как теоретически, использую теорию эндогенного роста, так и эмпирически, используя панельный регрессионный анализ, наличие прямой и положительной связи между финансовой грамотностью населения региона и уровнем конкурентоспособности региона.
The authors of this article, for the first time in domestic academic research, raise the question of assessing the impact of the regional level of financial literacy on the competitiveness of the region of the Russian Federation. The obtained results of this study can reveal to researchers previously unexplored drivers of regional competitiveness and significantly improve the models for assessing the competitiveness of the region. The authors present the concepts of regional competitiveness and of the level of financial literacy of the population of the regions, as well as methods of their assessment, and conduct a conceptual justification of the impact of financial literacy on regional competitiveness. The authors put forward the assumption that the level of financial literacy of the population of the region, being the result of financial education and an element of the human capital of the inhabitants of the region, affects the level of competitiveness of the region significantly, directly and positively. As part of the verification of the proposed assumption, the methodology of panel regression analysis (panel models with random effects) was used on data from 85 subjects of the Russian Federation for 2018–2022 in the amount of 425 observations. The data source is the National Agency for Financial Researc and the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat). As a result of constructing a panel regression model, the hypothesis that the level of financial literacy of the population of the region directly and positively affects the level of competitiveness of the region is not rejected. It was revealed that with an increase in the value of the financial literacy index of the population by 1 unit, the competitiveness index increases by 0,05 units. As a result, the authors of this study were able to substantiate the existence of a direct and positive relationship between the financial literacy of the population of the region and the level of competitiveness of the region both theoretically, by means of the theory of endogenous growth, and empirically, by means of panel regression analysis.
