<abstract xml:lang="ru">

The purpose of this scientific study is a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the possibility of effective application of synthesized chemical samples proposed for use as alkaline reagents in wastewater treatment. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that wastewater treatment with alkaline reagents is one of the most effective and widely used methods of neutralization of acidity, as well as the removal of various types of pollutants. This method of treatment is based on chemical reactions that increase the pH of wastewater, which leads to the neutralization of acidic components and promotes the precipitation of suspended particles. The main reagents used in this process include sodium hydroxide (NaOH), calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂) and sodium carbonate (Na₂CO). Strict adherence to process parameters, including accurate dosing of reagents, is required to maximize process efficiency. An insufficient amount of alkali can lead to incomplete neutralization, while an excessive amount of alkali can lead to unnecessary cost increases and possible secondary water contamination. High-alkaline reagents are of particular importance in the treatment of wastewater from livestock farms, particularly pig farms. Such effluents contain a large amount of organic contaminants, ammonia, sulfides and pathogenic microorganisms. In the course of laboratory experiments, a series of tests were carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of various formulations. Based on the results of the research, a selection of the most promising samples demonstrating the best performance in the process of sludge formation in the treatment of wastewater from a pig farm was carried out. Further research will be aimed at optimizing the composition of reagents, determining the optimal dosages and developing technological schemes for their application in industrial conditions.
