<abstract xml:lang="ru">

      <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">

The article studies the problems and prospects of the influence of artificial intelligence on the development of the labour market in general, and manufacturing industries in particular. It is shown that the development of generative intelligence systems has led mankind to the threshold of transformation, which will affect all spheres of economic activity. Having carried out a systematic analysis of the works of predecessors, it is established that the assessment of the impact of artificial intelligence on the labour market is characterized by three directions: optimistic, pessimistic and uncertain. Within the framework of the first, attention is paid to the creation of new industries and spheres of activity, which will not only ‘absorb’ the labour force released in the ‘old’ industries, but will also require a new one. In the second, the focus is on short-term shocks and shocks that are possible at local levels in the short run. Finally, the third strand takes an intermediate position. The author argues that the magnitude of job releases that will occur under the influence of artificial intelligence can have an impact on the sustainability of the economic system as a whole. In this case, artificial intelligence can be considered as a tool to ensure full employment or new, lower non-accelerating inflation rate of unemployment. The assumption that in the coming years we should expect a decrease in demand for relatively simple types of work and an increase in demand for complex, creative human activity; workers will be more relieved from heavy and dangerous work, and the importance of flexible skills will increase; the development of artificial intelligence will deepen the processes of division of labour, accelerate service specialisation; it will contribute to the increase in labour productivity and employee satisfaction.
