<abstract xml:lang="ru">

This study presents a geoecological assessment of the Okhta River based on both standardized and non-standardized water quality indicators, including optical and fluorescence characteristics. Five series of water samples were collected and analyzed from different sections of the river, covering its course from the source to the mouth. The following parameters were determined: color, total organic carbon, ammonium ions, chloride ions, electrical conductivity, total nitrogen, optical density at 254 nm, as well as fluorescence indicators (intensities of humic-like and protein-like fluorescence at several excitation and emission wavelengths). Spatial variability of the indicators was studied, allowing the identification of areas with the most significant anthropogenic impact. It was established that the greatest pollution is associated with the inflow of the Murinsky Creek, which carries domestic wastewater. At the same time, for a number of standardized indicators related to organic impurities, maximum allowable concentrations were either not exceeded or exceeded only slightly. The geoecological assessment using fluorescence indicators revealed a replacement of natural organic matter in the water by anthropogenic substances, the concentration of which exceeds background levels by 2 to 7 times. Fluorescence characteristics demonstrated higher sensitivity to anthropogenic impact and proved informative in assessing pollution. The results confirm the applicability of optical methods as effective tools for rapid monitoring and evaluation of the ecological condition of water bodies in urbanized environments.
